Communicating. You're sitting at the table on the patio, and you've been there for a good half an hour. You're leaning comfortably back in your chair, your feet up on the table and a gaming magazine in your lap. Liann's inside, doing goodness knows what. Things have been weird lately, but you're trying to pass if off like a bad nightmare after a cheap horror movie. That's all it is, right? Just the willies and a new house and a woman trying to sedu - you mutter a curse as you flick open your gaming mag and flip through it. That woman, that person, that thing has been haunting your dreams for quite awhi

Misunderstanding. You wake up, a sick feeling in the very pit of your stomach. You haven't been feeling very well since the episode in the parlor, and, regardless of what your brother has tried to talk you into believing, you are quite sure that something isn't right with this house. You've had that opinion since you met the young man upstairs, but you had doubted yourself up until a couple of days ago. After seeing that woman, hearing part of her story - it's gotten to you apparently, as you wobble on shaky legs towards the door. Hanging on your arm are a change of clothes and a towel, as you ma

On the other end of the table, and a few feet away, mind, was one of the three fireplaces in the house. On the mantle were originally pictures of our family and the Synders, being our mothers' side. On the end of the room closest to the door, and in the back corner from the door, were tw

Cooking. The dining room and the kitchen both take up a huge amount of space, and you figure that it's just because of the wealthy family that had once lived here. You push open the wooden double doors and move into the spacious, airy kitchen. Immediately in front of you is the space between the island centered in the middle of the room and the counters lining the left wall, and on the far side of the room, the door to the walk-in freezer. On the far side of the room and to the right of the freezer are the usual, but much nicer-looking, arrays of kitchen machinery and appliances - a dishwasher, a stove,

at the temple there is a poem called 'loss'...
carved into the stone...
it had three words...
but the poet has scratched them out...
you cannot read loss...
only feel it...
